Five Car Brands From the Land of the Rising Sun

Cars from Japan are regarded as being well made, as well as being among the most powerful.

Japan has many brands that cover almost any category from pickup trucks to sport cars, family cars to ultra compact run abouts. Below are five car manufacturers from Japan that are popular here and in other parts of the world too:

Nissan
Nissan have made popular cars for many years as one of the first Japanese brands to embrace exporting to the UK and the rest of the world. Nissan are well known for making mid size sedans but also have sportier models with the Skyline GTR and the 350z which have featured in many car movies like The Fast and he Furious.

Honda
Honda have made a wide variety of vehicles in the past, most recently they have been concentrating on the eco or green car developments with their newer vehicles able to run on hydrogen which is great news for environmentalists as the only by-product of their cars is not harmful fumes but H20 - water!

Toyota
Toyota has also had interest in cars that are kinder to the environment, with the Prius being the first hybrid vehicle released on the market, introducing a new way of thinking for the motor industry and set to shape the future for car manufacturer and the way we drive.

Subaru
Subaru are a well known Japanese brand especially in the world or rally driving. Their Impreza WRX has dominated in the sport for many years and remains one of the top 4 wheel drive powerful mid size cars. Subaru also have many models that appeal to larger family groups and all of their cars are built for high performance, containing a range of features.

Mazda
Mazda have been popular in recent years for their accessible small sporty cars like the MX-5 (Miata) and RX-8. As well as their sporting models the 3 and 6 series vehicles are popular executive and general use cars.

How to Pay Less at the Pump

Rising gas prices got you - and your bank account - down? Fear not, there are several options when it comes to paying less at the pump. From performing some fuel-saving maintenance on your existing car, to trading your baby in for something more economical, you have a few different options when it comes to saving on these rising gas prices.

Option #1: Get better mileage out of your existing car

By changing your driving styles and performing some simple fuel-saving maintenance, you can get better fuel economy out of your existing car. This could save you hundreds or more per year, depending on what you drive and how much you drive.

Inflate Your Tires to the Highest Recommended Pressure

One of the first things you can do is make sure your tires are properly inflated to their highest recommended pressure specifications. Under-inflated tires don't wear properly and rob fuel economy - as much as 15%.

Use Your Air Conditioner Sparingly

Using your air conditioner sparingly will help you save fuel. Air conditioners use the engine - and thus fuel - to run.

Get a Tune-Up

Things like air filters and your engines oil can have a major impact on fuel economy. A dirty air filter is one of the biggest culprits, and is generally very inexpensive to replace.

Change Your Driving Style

Accelerate smoothly and anticipate the road ahead. This may sound like a no-brainer, but its important to note that your driving style has a major impact on fuel economy. If you drive like a race car driver, it will certainly be reflected in your fuel economy, so slow down, accelerating and braking as smoothly - and safely as possible.

Don't Fall for any Fuel-Saving Gimmick Products

With gas prices on the rise, marketers are pushing gimmick products with bogus claims about their fuel saving. Most of these products fail to meet expectations, and are designed to cash in on consumers who are looking to cut down on fuel expenses. Don't fall for these!

Option #2: Drive Less!

This one may or may not be an option for you, but regardless, the easiest way to start cutting back on gas expenses is to simply drive less often. With gas prices skyrocketing to new highs, many Americans are already taking this route.

Option #3: Get a More Economical Car

Maybe it's time to get something a bit more economical. Depending on what you are driving currently, chances are that you can replace your existing car with a far more economical car, which could save you thousands a year on gas expenses.

If this is the route you choose, remember to get a free quote to sell your car today from a reputable used car buyer like our team at Big Bucks Auto(TM). No matter what you're looking to sell, we can buy it, fast - and for more than you might expect.

And before you give up all the space your big SUV affords, or lose the sports car for something - well - less sporty, remember that economical doesn't have to mean boring. For example, there are several new mid-size SUVs on the market which afford their drivers very acceptable gas mileage.
And to get your sports car fix while saving at the pump, look to sporty but smaller sports cars. Cars like the Mini Cooper and Mazda Miata MX-5 can give you some of the thrills you desire, while sipping fuel at the same time.

Audi TT: Tourist Trophy

Audi broke the mold when its concept TT car was presented at auto shows around the globe during the mid1990s. Named for the prestigious annual "Tourist Trophy" race held on the Isle of Man, the TT is based on the same platform which powers the Volkswagen Golf and the Skoda Octavia. Making use of anodized aluminum and a "bumper free" exterior, the TT coupe was unlike any car of its time when the first production model was released in 1998. Today, the TT continues to garner awards and win praises from Audi aficionados. If you like the current model, just wait one year and you will witness the release of a TT that goes well beyond the pale.

When talking about the TT, there are actually two models involved: one being a coupe, the other a roadster. Shortly after the coupe's introduction in 1998, the roadster version was released the following summer. Both models were originally powered by a 20 valve inline 1.8L four cylinder engine, however in subsequent years each model received a more powerful version of that engine while a 3.2L V6 was introduced as an option during 2003. The TT is powered by its front wheels, but Quattro all wheel drive is available as well.

Audi's success with the TT has helped it to cautiously develop its second generation model. Nearly a full decade after the original model made its debut the follow up TT is being readied and will go into production in 2007. The new TT will feature the following attributes:

Longer and Wider: Slight changes in its width and length will be incorporated into the new model. Expect more cabin room for added interior comfort.

Aluminum and Steel: The new TT will be made up of aluminum in the front and steel in the rear to encourage a better weight balance.

More Power: The 1.8L I4 engine will be replaced with a 2.0L I4 engine. The 3.2L V6 will still be offered, producing 250 horsepower. A six speed manual transmission will be standard equipment.

More Models: The coupe and roadster will be introduced back to back with a third model, possibly a wagon version, also being considered for production.

Principal competitors for the Audi TT have been the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes SLK. The TT's styling inspiration has found its way onto several other models including the Saturn Sky, Mazda Miata, Nissan 350Z, and the Pontiac Solstice. In all, the Audi TT has reinvigorated the roadster market and it appears that the upcoming TT will expand on that theme even further. This is great news for enthusiasts who want a unique and well engineered 2+2 car as part of their driving stable.

Driving In The Hardtop Genre

Automakers are now attesting the edge of retractable hardtops over the conventional ragtops. Parenthetically, they are shifting to the modern technology to deliver fun open-air drive as well as secured weather resistance driving.

Mazda Miata is one of the leaders of hardtop technology. The car is made simple yet striking, affordable and perky. However, its greatest edge is its soft top that can be maneuvered with just a push on the button. In fact, said model can be operated by just using only one hand. Jay Amestoy, Mazda's spokesperson said that power retractable hardtop technology of Miata is a significant factor of its hefty 30% sales in the United States.

The move of automakers is so swift and apparent. "Yes, it costs a lot to engineer and install, but we found some of our target buyers -- women, especially -- see it as a big advantage in safety and security," says Pontiac spokesman Jim Hopson. As to Pontiac, its G6 RHT went on sale last April. It was priced at about $29,000, $5,000 more than the coupe version. According to .D. Power and Associates' Power Information Network (PIN), G6 RHT takes an average 29 days to sell. PIN also observed that midsize cars in general, stay on dealer lots an average 53 days and sell for about $8,000 less than the G6 RHT. These findings are significant to automakers. The crucial move can give them rewarding profits so they opt to live in the hype of hardtops.

Volvo, on one hand, has set forth its C70, a 4-seater RHT that went on sale since midyear. The model is a compact car that shares Ford's C1 platform which was used with Volvo S40 parts. According to PIN, C70 sits on dealer lots 14 days. On the contrary, the Mercedes-Benz CLK ragtop sits 51 days.

The coupe convertible hardtop from Volvo was designed by John Kinsey and built by Pininfarina. It uses quality Volvo C70 parts that include strong three piece retractable metal that can be raised or lowered in a short span of 30 seconds. C70 replaced the cabriolet/convertible and the coupe segment, which are absent in Volvo's lineup since 2003.

BBS Manufacturing Company

If you happen to stumble upon Mazda Miata Rims in the parking lot or in your garage, notice the wheel. Do you see how it's silver and cross-spoked? It's most likely a BBS Wheel.. because those wheels always have their emblem on the center cap; regardless of the wheel or its manufacturer. So, there you go.

I'm here to share some history on this lovely Aluminum Wheel producer. So, once upon a time in 1970, in the small town of Schiltach, Germany, there were two men: one named Heinrich Baumgartner (no, he didn't invent Heineken so let's not get any crazy ideas) and another named Klaus Brand. They decided to own their own manufacturing company, so they started off making plastic auto body parts for different cars at the time. They couldn't think of a name so they decided to make it into an acronym: BaumgartnerBrandSchiltach. How convenient, right?

At any rate, for the first two years, they kept producing plastic chassis elements; but in 1972, they eventually started designing three-piece wheels that were going to be used for racing. This was just an idea that they had on paper and just decided to do it; and it turned out to be a break through in the Motorsport World. It's all cheesy, but I guess dreams do come true! Four years later, their company expanded to France since they were doing so well and in 1979, they hired a third manager: Martin Braungart. It's like the letter "B" is super popular over there.. oh well.

So of course they weren't going to perfect the three-piece wheel the first time they made it; in 1983, when it was finally flawless, they made it available for use on vehicles that travel on "normal roads". This wheel was called the RS Wheel. As you can probably guess, this Factory Original BBS Rim was a hit with everyone. It flew off the shelves and just pleased everyone that bought it. Since the company was doing so well, they opened more stores; this time in the great countries of America and Japan. In 1987, they had some managerial movement where Klaus Brand eventually became part of the Supervisory Board, Heinrich Baumgartner was appointed as Chairman of the Management Board, Martin Braungart became in charge of the Technical Management Department, and Klaus Bukenberger became accountable for the Business' Operations and Sales.

The 1990s finally rolled around, which was a great decade for BBS. In 1990, BBS was known to be the vital producer of OEM Alloy Wheels for Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and many other professional victorious racing teams all around the world. Four years later, BBS had made wheels for Formula One, the IndyCar Series, DTM, and ADAC; all of those racing teams won Championships with BBS Wheels. When they celebrated their 25th year anniversary in 1995, they invented the RSII Wheel which was lighter, had more quality, and eventually set a trend for its remarkable innovation. By 1998, they had supplied IndyCar with BBS wheels for twelve racing vehicles! When 1999 rolled around, BBS gained more customers to make wheels for like DaimerlChrysler, Porsche, Ferrari, and Jaguar.

When the new millennium finally came; this meant a whole new transition for BBS Manufacturing Company. They had been so successful from 2000-2008 that it's only fair for me to acknowledge all of their achievements. Ready? In March of 2000, they opened a logistics / storage center in Herbolzheim; which meant drastic growth in profit and turnover for the company. In 2001, they won another Formula One Racing Championship. When 2002 finally came, they won what's called a "Podio Award" for its new innovated solutions when it came to Ferrari Models. The dry processing of Factory Alloy Wheels was invented in 2003 and was recognized in not only the Motorsport World, but also by the Environmental society. They designed Air Inside Technology that improved the stability of the wheel in 2004. In 2005, they completed their third expansion in Herbolzheim and had all of the vehicles that had fitted BBS wheels compete in the Dakar Rally. 2006 meant that this manufacturing company had won a grand total of 6 international and national awards including Best Brand, Best Quality, two Innovation Awards, and Best Wheel of the year. When the new year brought 2007, Punch International NV took over BBS International; when this happened, it employed over 3,000 people worldwide! Which is great for our economy, don't ya think? Anyway, in 2008, BBS had the extreme pleasure of saying that they had won the Best Brand Award for the third time in a row.

What an accomplishment, right?

Mazda RX8 Horsepower Controversy

Since its launch, the Mazda RX8 has been the subject of close scrutiny by enthusiasts. The high level of attention is not only due to the car's admirable driving dynamics but, in part to the early reports of below-than-expected performance. To be more specific: wheel horsepower measured on several chassis dynamometer runs resulted in values well below the expected 17%~20% drivetrain parasitic losses. And quarter mile runs of anywhere between 0.5 and 1.5 seconds off of those produced by magazines on allegedly pre-production vehicles.

In connection with the RX8's horsepower rating: the original marketing material from Mazda North America (MNAO) advertised the 6 speed manual transmission RX8 at 247hp @ 8,500rpm. Assuming parasitic drivetrain loses between 17%-20% -common for modern rear wheel drive vehicles, a stock RX8 should measure between 205~197 horsepower at the rear wheels (rwhp) -depending on elevation, barometric pressure, temperature and correction factors applied. Instead, a stock RX8 chassis dyno run shows results ranging anywhere from mid-high ~160 to ~185rwhp. Such readings would represent parasitic drivetrain loses in excess of 25%. To say that, it is unacceptable to experience such a high level of loss through the drivetrain of a "sports car" with a carbon fiber drive shaft -amongst other things- is an understatement.

To further consolidate doubts about the actual power output of the new Renesis, several owners were unable to reproduce mid-low 14 second quarter mile passes -as seen published by well known U.S. car magazines. Low trap speeds were another hint towards the apparent lack of power output.

Shortly after, several debates on online enthusiast forums and discussion boards turned into heated arguments as to what was causing such poor "straight line performance." Many former Miata owners remembered a previous "snafu" in Mazda's history, when the manufacturer admittedly overstated the horsepower figures of their redesigned Mazda Miata.

After a few months, MNAO came forward and explained that they had misrepresented the Renesis' power output. The revised figure was now 238hp @ 8,500rpm; however, according to MNAO, this revision did not change the previously achieved track performance results.

Speculations about the reasons behind the sudden lack of power output were many. However, there are currently two schools of thought:

The first one supports the idea that the RX-8's engine management unit (ECU), in conjunction with the many "nanny" devices -such as ABS & TCS- do not allow to obtain accurate readings from a chassis dynamometer. To simplify, when the car is run on a chassis dyno, only the driven wheels are turning. The RX-8's ECU would detect an abnormal driving situation and retard timing and apply other safety measures to preserve either the "driver" or the "engine" -or both- from damage (read: skidding situation, or a car going out of the road.)

The second one believes that MNAO was forced to re-engineer the software that runs the engine management even before the first batch of RX-8's reached U.S. shores, due to upcoming Federal emissions regulations. I have read of one in particular, which requires catalytic converter lifespan of ~100,000 miles. The enemy number one of catalytic converters on any vehicle is heat (and heat is the number one attribute of rotary engine's exhaust gases.)

MNAO offered two options to those who had pre-ordered an RX-8, or had purchased no late than September 2003:

They would buy back the vehicle, no questions asked.

They would offer FREE Scheduled Maintenance for the life of the warranty, plus a 500 dollar "gift card" to those who opted to keep the car.

I was among those who opted to keep their RX-8. After all, the driving experience had not changed since test driving the vehicle prior to purchasing it. Since August 2003 I have clocked well over 20,000 miles -as of 1/18/2005- and I have but one ounce of regret about my decision. If you'd like to read more about owners' opinions, visit this thread @ RX8Club.com

There have been a number of ECU "updates" released during the past 2 years. To the best of my knowledge, all early samples of '04 RX-8s, came from port with level "J" of engine management software. Since then, we have escalated all the way through the alphabet to "M" -which was released on a TSB campaign by Mazda North America (MSP04) in order to have ALL vehicles taken in for Service @ Authorized Dealers flashed to "M" calibration.

The Redesigned 2006 Mazda Miata

Before I begin, I have to warn you, I'm a Miata fan. My mom had one for years, so I had plenty of time to admire the Miata's capabilities. Her car lacked in power, but it made up for it in classic style and handling. I was quite impressed when I first saw the totally new Miata.

Upon my inspection of the newly redesigned Miata, I figured they just added fender flares. But the interior is completely new and modern, the convertible top has the fit and finish of a much nicer car now. The top actually folds up and acts as its own cover in the back, getting rid of the use of a snap on cover to hide the top.

Mazda Speed rotates through the Mazda product line enhancing a model usually with a turbo charged engine and other performance and styling features. Last year, it was the Miata's turn and it received a turbo charged engine. Miata fans have been adding turbos and superchargers for years to the poorly powered Miata engines. Last year's much needed turbo engine has been replaced with an equally powerful, but larger 2.0 DOHC version producing 170 HP. The Miata finally has a great engine. Now if they'd add a turbo to THIS engine . . .

The exterior styling has changed and allows for larger wheels and tires. The updated headlights take away from the old school aggressive pop-up lights. This gives this older car a new lease on life. It seems like a bigger car due to the modified sheet metal, but still has the same sporty cockpit feel on the inside.

I was able to compare this Miata to the new Pontiac Solstace. I felt as thought I was sitting in a hole in the Pontiac. The Pontiac looks great, but the interior was lacking. The new Saturn looked promising, but I couldn't get a good comparison, as it was hands-off. These cars are great to compare to the model in regards to price, handling and power. But I'm not all about buying an untested, first year on the market Pontiac against a 16 year old tried and true Miata.

Why is Pontiac coming out with a Miata fighter after all this years? Because the Fiero failed? I don't know. I do know that the Miata has been refined all of these years culminating into a fine 2006 version. The Miata has nothing to prove, as it is time tested as one of the best driver's cars on the road today.

Cooling System: How It Affects Your Mazda Car's Performance

Just like human beings, the car needs to dissipate heat in order to avoid overheating and exhaustion. During combustion, the engine produces large amount of heat--about 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This is too much for the engine to bear so a cooling system is needed to keep it at a normal temperature. Cars usually overheat due to a damaged part in the cooling system, especially the radiator, the heart of the cooling system. It is therefore necessary that all its auto parts must be in proper working condition to ensure that the whole system works efficiently.

Aside from the radiator, the cooling system is composed water pump, freeze plugs, head gasket, thermostat, hoses, heater core, fan clutch and radiator fan. All these auto parts have special roles to perform thus the absence of one could significantly affect the whole cooling process and of course, the engine's performance. Take for example the hose, this may seem to be just an ordinary part but once broken, the coolant can escape and so it's no longer possible for the system to cool the engine. Even just the cap of the radiator is important. It holds the pressure in the cooing system; thereby, affects its stability.

How does the cooling system of your Mazda work? The coolant, which is a mixture of anti-freeze and water, is the one that absorbs the heat from the engine. It is drawn by the water pump from the radiator and is pumped through engine block and the cylinder head to absorb the heat from the engine and its parts. It goes back to the receiving tank of the radiator through the radiator hose. The radiator has tubes that contain large amount of water and has fin area to allow outside air to pass through. As the coolant spreads over the top of the radiator tubes, it transfers heat to the air.

The performance of your Mazda car is greatly dependent on your cooling system. No matter how gutsy its engine is, it can't work normally without a cooling system. The engine can even be inutile in an instant if it overheats and all other auto parts under the hood can also be damaged. They could melt as the engine burns the fuel inside the combustion chamber and the pistons in the cylinder could expand extremely that they can no longer move to complete the whole process in the engine.

Your Mazda car can possibly overheat as well. Engine overheating is one of the most common problems auto users encounter. You can avoid this by adding water to your radiator. So if you notice a problem on a particular part in your cooling system, consult the best auto mechanic in town. But if you think the problem is worst, you may as well replace it right away.

Mazda Parts are everywhere to be found. Auto parts stores like Auto Parts Inner offers you Mazda parts like Mazda radiators, Mazda radiator support, Mazda Bumpers, Mazda radiator fan and Mazda coolant tank. This incredible auto parts site also offers other replacement Mazda parts such as Mazda Tail Lights, Mazda rear view mirror, Mazda euro headlight, Mazda headlight molding, Mazda Wheels, and many other auto parts. 2005 Mazdaspeed Mazda MX-5 Miata

What's so great about the new Miata? They've been making them for years and they are virtually unchanged. Sure, the Miata is a classic sports car with rear wheel drive and a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. But Mazda introduced a new version of the Miata called the Mazdaspeed Miata. It has significantly more features than the standard Miata.

You can get a black cloth top and black leather seats with cool red stitching. The car also has Mazdaspeed spoilers and badges. The Miata still gets 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. It has all the modern features, too, like a 225 watt stereo with a six disc in dash CD changer, remote keyless entry, power windows, and subtle tuner touches like a silver painted tower brace and red painted stabilizer bars. The calipers have also been painted silver. The car weighs only 2529 lbs which always helps performance.

The 1.8 liter engine has been upgraded with a turbocharged and intercooled engine. This 8.5 psi turbo boost gives the Miata 178 hp compared to the base 142 hp. They coupled this power with a short throw six speed manual transmission and a new heavy-duty clutch powering a torque sensing limited slip differential. The suspension has been tuned further with stiffer springs and returned gas-filled Bilstein shocks. With all of these improvements, it was also necessary to make the sway bars larger, both in front and in rear. Add some ABS brakes and 17" wheels and standard EBD - Electronic Brakeforce Distribution - and you have a handling package to compliment the new power plant.

0-60 in a mere 6.7 seconds. The standard Miata can make it to 60 in 8.1 seconds. But get this - the Mazdaspeed Miata is only about $900 more than a similarly equipped Miata LS with the six speed. For the turbo, intercooler, and suspension upgrades, $900 is a small price to pay for so much more performance. Finally, Mazda has given us the Miata we've all been waiting for.

Why You Should Always Seek Genuine Mazda Auto Parts

Mazda automobiles are well known for their classy styles and cool sports cars. Many people have longed to own one of these beauties. They imagine themselves zipping down a highway at break neck speeds or slowly cruising through town, making sure that everyone sees and admires them. When it's time to find replacement parts for the Mazda, many people will look around, hoping to find some that will properly fix their cars. One of the best ways to find them is by visiting one of the many online automotive stores.

Many online automotive parts stores, in an effort to provide consumers with more choices for high caliber backup parts for repairing, replacement, or customization, now offer a more extensive line of Mazda parts. The Mazda parts they offer range from high quality body/frame parts, car lamps, and other vehicles accessories. These parts, and many more, are produced by world-class auto parts manufacturers. This means that every part that passes through the assembly line has also passed strict quality assurance tests.

Vehicle parts, like the Mazda 626 alternator, radiators, fuel tanks, pickup engine parts, bumpers, tail lamps, and the mirror for the Miata are crucial to your vehicle's effectiveness. This means that replacing your car parts with high grade Mazda components is an absolute necessity. Some auto parts stores will offer you super sweet deals on low cost Mazda parts; unfortunately these parts aren't as efficient as the original equipment manufacturer parts. Getting your OEM parts from an online store that specializes in Mazda parts, is a great way to outfit your car with parts you can depend on.

The Mazda Miata engine parts, like the alternator, are very important to the automobile's effectiveness, because the alternator creates the electricity your car needs to operate; charging the battery and allowing the vehicle to start. Buying a Mazda RX-8 radiator is also very important since this particular component is responsible for the minimizing of the heat taken in by the engine while the car is running. If your car didn't have a radiator, your vehicle would overheat and break down on you.

Replacement exterior parts for your Mazda: Miata hoods, the RX-8 front bumper, 323 front fenders, need to be super strong and durable because they are crucial to the driver's safety. Your vehicle's hood offers protection for the engine and other vital car parts beneath it. Also, the carbon fibers of the hood boost your vehicles acceleration capabilities because it weighs less and is more aerodynamic. The quality of the fender and bumpers should also be a priority to the Mazda consumer. The vehicle's fender helps keep you safe by absorbing the impact of an accident. Frequently, the fender gets too mangled during an accident to be useful anymore. These parts are easily replaced, but you need to replace them with durable replacement parts to insure that you are completely protected in the future.

Mazda Revs Up A Groundbreaking Miata

A new dimension is explored by Mazda Motors Corporation by adding the Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) to its new Roadster lineup. This was done without withdrawing the driving comforts of the previous Roadster including its "Jinba Ittai" dynamic performance. The next level of refinement introduced by Mazda was launched to the automotive market this month.

It can be recalled that the Roadster has already won more than 30 globally-acclaimed awards. This has paved way for its international recognition. With this added spice called Power Retractable Hard Top, the lineup can now give higher comfort for both the conventional Roadster driving and the open-top sports car pleasure. Said new feature is made up of a light-weight material which has a one-touch electric control. The roof can also be folded away into the rear part of the seats and inside the wheelbase.

The root of Mazda MX-5 Miata was born to universal acclaim. It was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car. The very first Miata featured an easy-to-operate folding top. It can be folded in seconds by simply unzipping the plastic rear window, releasing the 2 windshield header latches and pushing the top back. The next generation of Miata introduced a simpler process. In this lineup, no unzipping was required to fold its top.

In the freshest generation of Miata, new hard top is incorporated to enjoy the mighty rays of the sun on the cockpit area. PRHT functions like a magic trick, one push of the button and it will disappear from sight. The convertible design of PRHT consists of 3 major parts - the front section, middle section and the rear window. Said parts complement Miata to yield suave operation.

Mazda Miata parts are designed to achieve the sophistication that the customers are expecting. In addition, Miata's trunk provides a 5.3 cubic feet capacity, center locking handle and minor suspension adjustments to sustain the design of PRHT.

Miata MX-5 comes with 2 new exterior colors - the Stormy Blue Mica and Highland Green Mica. These colors have replaced Winning Blue Metallic and Nordic Green Mica.

2006 New Car Highlights

A new model year brings with it all new cars and the chance for automakers to bring fresh customers into their showrooms in the hopes that some will be persuaded to purchase the new car or at the very least switch to a new brand. The following are some the newest models being touted. Will any of them grab your attention? Your local dealers certainly hope so!

Chevrolet HHR - Take one look at the HHR and you may think: this car looks awfully like Chrysler's PT Cruiser. With that particular assessment, you are correct. Still, the car swiped its styling cues from the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban, but the HHR - Heritage High Top - will compete directly with the PT Cruiser as it does everything the PT Cruiser does and a bit more: you can fit an 8 foot ladder inside the vehicle.

Honda Ridgeline - It has taken some time, but Honda has entered the pick up truck fray with its medium body Ridgeline. Standard four wheel drive, four doors, and a five foot bed with a trunk inside of the floor of the bed are some of the features that sets the Ridgeline apart from the competition. The Ridgeline comes equipped with a 3.5L all aluminum V6 engine and a 5 speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai Azera - Developed to compete against the likes of the Toyota Avalon, the Azera comes equipped with a 3.8L all aluminum V6 engine. The five passenger Azera replaces the luxurious XG350.

Jeep Commander - Trail rated fun just got a bit finer with the Commander, the largest Jeep yet with seating for seven passengers. Based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee's frame, the Commander comes with three engine choices including a 3.7L V6, a 4.7L SOHC V8; and a 5.7 Hemi V8 that automatically shuts down four of the cylinders when not needed.

Lincoln Mark LT - Ford's luxury division gets it own version of the famous Ford F-150 line of pick up trucks. Available as a rear or four wheel drive vehicle, the Mark is a five passenger truck with ebony wood, leather seating, and a long list of luxury features. Standard engine is a Triton 5.4L V8.

Mercury Milan - Based on the Mazda 6 platform, the Milan is a five passenger sedan that comes equipped with either a 2.3 I4 or 3.0L V6 engine. Related cars include the Ford Fusion and the upscale Lincoln Zephyr.

Pontiac Solstice - GM says they created the Solstice to infuse a bit of fun in the Pontiac line up. The two seat rag top Solstice is meant to compete against the wildly famous Mazda Miata and with rear wheel drive, a pair of potent four cylinders to choose from, and priced starting around $20,000 the Solstice at least stands a chance to take away sales from the Miata.

Many other models have been revamped for 2006 including the Honda Civic, Ford Explorer, Lexus IS, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota Avalon and the Chevrolet Impala. Regardless of which model you choose, you are in the commander's seat as the competition continues to heat up and great deals on new vehicles continue to flow.

MG? Not in America!

Britain's famed automotive brand, MG, most noted for its line of sexy roadsters, isn't coming back to the US after all. True, the company is now owned by SAIC, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, but the brand's British pedigree remains intact.

Fans of the MG last saw these cars sold in the US way back in 1980. Competition, financial problems, and the temporary ceasing of production later that year contributed to the brand's demise, though a revived MG later appeared and operated under the umbrella of the MG Rover group itself owned for a time by German automaker BMW. Later, a Chinese automaker, Nanjing Automotive purchased MG before being bought out itself by SAIC.

Restarting Production And Considering The US Market

The quest to bring MG back to the states has been a long one, led by U.S. enthusiasts who have been hoping that SAIC would export the MG TF to America. The mid-engined, rear wheel driven roadster's appeal is quite a natural one with SAIC starting production on MG's newest model at its Nanjing, China factory in August 2008 along with production at its Longbridge, UK facility. With a capacity to build 200,000 units annually in China alone, the chances of bringing the car stateside once seemed quite good.

Alas, MG management has decided to forgo the US market, at least for now, concentrating on its based United Kingdom and Ireland markets, before reintroducing MG to continental Europe. Even plans to send kits of the roadster to an Oklahoma factory for US assembly have fallen through, squelching the car's US return for now.

Past Problems, A Thing Of The Past?

Of concern to MG fans everywhere are some of the quality issues that have plagued MG, particularly during the latter years when ownership changed hands several times. Head gasket problems with the MG F were a show stopper, one that MG says have been remedied with the introduction of a modified head gasket, one that can be retrofitted to earlier cars. Other engineering improvements to enhance engine durability have now been included, changes which should help the MG succeed as it seeks to polish its image abroad.

Though the MG TF isn't coming stateside any time soon, fans can take heart knowing that such plans are subject to change at short notice. For a brand that has managed to survive through war, bankruptcy, and several ownership changes, the 85 year old marque endures, a tribute to British stoicism, Chinese investing, and to international interest.

Cars With the Best Gas Mileage

When buying a car either brand new or used, one thing you should take into consideration is its ability to give you the best gas mileage without compromising the comfort, speed and your love for the cars.

Some people when it comes to this problem, they will either cut the use of their fuel consumption or buy a smaller car because there is this notion that smaller cars have best gas mileage.

Well, this could be either true or not, and when you're facing this kind of situation, the only best thing you can do is buy a car that has second to none gas mileage.

In this category - cars with best gas mileage - it is predominantly dominated by Toyota Prius wth more than a million units sold recently primarily because for its obvious reason - that is being the number one most fuel-efficient car on the road.

Not only is the Toyota Prius the top-selling hybrid vehicle, but it is also the number one most fuel-efficient vehicle on the highway with impressive performance of 48 mpg (miles per gallon).

Smart Fortwo convertible and coupe is also showing some promise when it comes to gas mileage with 33 mpg in the city road while on the highway it gets 41mpg, and this is getting popular considering the fact that this brand of car is just new in the United States market.

The two-seater Mazda MX-5 Miata, for its 22 mpg in the city road and 27 on the thoroughfare deserve the title of one of the best cars with best gas mileage. While the Mini Cooper took the next spot being so efficient with its 28 mpg in the metropolis while on the highway it recorded a 37 mpg.

When it comes to subcompact car, one of the most efficient with both the automatic and manual versions is the Toyota' Yaris with 36 mpg. The Honda Civic Hybrid is best known for its efficiency on the road while the Toyota Corolla is tailing not too far behind with its 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the freeway. When it comes to midsize category you will not be surprised to see this Nissan Versa 26 mpg in the metropolis and 31 mpg in the freeway.

With the soaring gas prices around the world, EPA or Environmental Protection Agency has made a helpful guide for the buyers in buying the cars with the best mileage that they can find in the market. This EPA guide will show the prospective buyers the normal mileage or the fuel consumption of the cars whether in the city or in the highway. Poor gas mileage is one of the reasons why more than 15% of potential buyers decline a certain model. Around 40% will choose to buy a mid-size SUV rather than to buy a vehicle with poor mileage performance.

Other cars with the best gas mileage include the Toyota Scion XA with its 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. This vehicle has a 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine. Next in line is the Toyota Echo with its larger engine and the impressive 35 mpg on the city while on the highway it will give you 43 mpg.

2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata -- the Freewheeling Youth of the Sports-Car World Matures

Mazda has done it again. First, they reinvigorated the sports car market a decade and a half ago with the introduction of the Miata for 1990. Then the company followed that up with a redesigned version that was good enough to make Miata the biggest-selling sports car in history.

Now, for 2006, they've topped that with a third-generation Miata that's as sophisticated as far more expensive sports cars, despite keeping its reasonable low-20-thousand-dollar price tag.

Compared to the two previous versions, the 2006 MX-5 Miata is a little larger in most dimensions, and gains about 50 pounds. It continues with its four-cylinder engine but now it's a 170-hp 2.0-liter instead of a 142-hp 1.8.

Slipping into the interior, it's obvious that Mazda's junior sports car has grown a bit. Instead of the window sills having a sort of elbow-height feeling, you now feel as though you're sitting low in the car, instead of sitting on it. Along with the cabin's extra room comes a more upscale look to the interior. Although still not exactly plush feeling, the new Miata replaces its predecessors' retro spartan style with a somewhat more opulent look. The leather seats are both easy on the eyes and posterior. The convertible top has a cloth surface and a glass rear window, and it folds neatly into a smooth bunch that latches down to form a smooth profile without a separate cover.

Overall, the cabin pleases in both design and execution. There's a subtle, high-quality feel to it that speaks of cars costing far more than our tester's $25,000 sticker price.

Firing the engine up brings forth a sporty purr that's maybe a tad more subdued than Miatas past, but nonetheless satisfying. Once rolling, planting your foot into the gas yields one of the bigger delights of the new Miata. The engine feels somewhat stronger than its power rating might imply, providing gutsy acceleration at low speeds and very nice passing power without downshifting. It never feels high-strung or fussy.

Complementing that pleasure is the shifter. Traditionally a strong suit of Miatas past, the new version continues to be noteworthy. Although not quite as pleasingly mechanical feeling as before, the shifter is precise, with appropriate springing and well-defined gates. Tying it all together are pedals that are well spaced for easy heel-and-toe downshifts.

Once acclimated to the new Miata's basic control personality, it's time to tackle some twisty roads. And you'll quickly find that this aspect of the new car is where the new Miata differs the most from its predecessors.

While the generation-one and -two Miatas were well known for having low handling limits and almost toylike tossability, the new Miata feels heftier, more serious, and obviously more capable. In earlier Miatas the idea of slipping and sliding the rear end was as obvious and basic as putting the top down on a sunny day -- Miata practically begged for such exuberance behind the wheel.

The new Miata responds to such tail-happy shenanigans with all the control and communication of Mazda's earlier little sprites. But now the car just doesn't seem to ask for it with such a strong voice. This version's vastly higher grip and more potent engine instead make it happier with high corner-entry speeds and smooth, even steering-wheel inputs.

Those things said, this Miata is really happy in that environment. Whereas previous Miatas tended to have a wild, freewheeling personality on winding roads, the new version hauls through turns as if locked onto rails, with minimal body lean and very high limits that aren't as easy to upset.

It's still terrific fun. It's just a little different kind of fun.

It's clear that Mazda has once again crafted a true little gem of a sports car. There's not a squeak or rattle to be heard, the engine has a smooth, almost exotic personality, and the driving controls are precise and solid. You find yourself double checking the sticker to see if this is really a $25,000 sports car -- plenty of rivals costing $15k more than Miata don't get these things much (if any) better.

As for how this new Miata design overall compares to its predecessors, picture a guy that was loveable but slightly over-eager in college. Now he's been out in the real world for few years and maybe gotten a graduate degree.

He's not really the same guy anymore, but he commands more respect. And he's still a whole lot of fun to be around.

Ford Bags Most Quality Awards In JD Power Survey

The Ford Motor Co. bagged five top category awards in an annual survey of new car quality, more than any other automaker, according to J.D. Power and Associates. Ford overthrown the Toyota Motor Corp. and has become the winner of the most category honors in the previous year's survey.

Toyota dropped to 7th place from 4th place last year in the overall nameplate ranking. Porsche led the overall list, followed by Lexus and Lincoln. The Mercury brand placed 8th and the Ford brand was 7th.

Neal Oddes, the director of product research and analysis for J.D. Power, said that it is the first in a number of years that all three of Ford's nameplates - Ford, Lincoln and Mercury - surpassed the industry average. None of the General Motors Corp. or the Chrysler Group brands ranked above industry average, although some individual brands made gains compared to the 2006 survey.

The 2007 Initial Quality Study rates overall brand quality and also ranks vehicles within specific segments or categories. Top model segment honors went to the Ford Mustang, Lincoln Mark LT, Lincoln MKZ, Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Mercury Milan.

The Mustang, based on the Falcon compact, is one of the landmark vehicles in the Ford lineup. As a fact, it remains in production after significant revisions. The Lincoln Mark LT, a luxury pickup, is the successor of the Blackwood. The Mark LT, based on the Ford F-150, is built at Ford's River Rouge Plant. The Lincoln MKZ, on the other hand, is the replacement of the Zephyr. Sales of the MKZ started in September in the previous year.

The Mazda MX-5, also called the Miata, is a sports car that revived the roadster segment of the automaker. The Miata is the world's best-selling sports car, with over 800,000 units sold. The Mercury Milan, a midsize sedan built on the Ford CD3 platform, is the upscale version of the Ford Fusion. The vehicle features unique front and rear fascia styling, distinctive LED tail lights, modified suspension, enhanced auto interior, projector head lamps and fog lamps, and huge rear doors.

Overall, fourteen Ford product lines placed in the top three of their respective categories. Other top category finishers were Mercedes-Benz and Toyota, which each earned three segment awards. Ford had some excellent product launches for the 2007 model year, Oddes said. Most of the automaker's improvement came by overcoming defects. The Ford Edge, for example, garnered high marks in the study.

The Edge, a midsize crossover SUV, is based on the Ford CD3 platform, originally introduced on the Mazda 6. The platform is shared with the Lincoln MKX, and the Mazda CX-9 crossovers, the Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and the Lincoln MKZ sedans. The Edge made its public debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The delivery of the Edge was delayed due to supplier glitches as well as to check on the quality of the vehicle. Now, the crossover SUV is reaping good feedback from consumers.

The J.D. Powers survey measures design quality and production defects or malfunctions at the 90-day point of ownership and is considered a major automotive quality gauge. Some 97,000 owners and lessees responded to the 228-question surveys. Vehicles were evaluated between November 2006 and January of this year.

In a separate survey Ford's Wixom assembly plant, shuttered last week, won the Platinum Plant Quality Award for producing vehicles with the fewest defects. It is the first time since 1999 a North American plant garnered that award, J.D. Powers said.

J.D. Power and Associates' marketing research consists primarily of consumer surveys. Its ratings are based on the survey responses of randomly selected or pre-determined auto purchasers.

Make Your Mazda Sing With Enclosed Subwoofers

Whether you're a fan of rock music, rap, country, blues, or even classical, the stereo system in your Mazda is a vital part of your listening experience. By owning a Mazda3, Mazda5 or even Mazda RX-8 you get the benefit of having a decent stock system built into the car. However, only by adding a subwoofer will you truly receive the best sound possible in your Mazda. Even the Bose stock system that comes with the MX-5 Miata lacks the low end that many be desired when it comes to the listening experience. A subwoofer will give depth and complete sound to the system, thus allowing you to hear things that you wouldn't have before.

There are many top of the line subwoofers and amplifiers to choose from that will give you the bass you need in your car stereo system. You'll find that car audio professionals are experts when advising on the best amps and subs for your car, and will help you to find the system right for you according to the type of music most listened to.

When purchasing a new system you'll also find that a custom speaker box is essential for the quality of sound coming from the new sub. Speaker enclosures provide a great deal of support for the amp and sub in several different ways. There are custom speaker boxes that are designed specifically to fit the interior of your Mazda. Many speaker enclosures will blend in to the interior of your Mazda making it look as though it was part of the original car. A custom speaker box will also help to save space in the car and keep the amp and sub safe from accidents within the Mazda such as spilt drinks or wandering feet. Whether you install the enclosed subwoofers in the trunk or backseat, car audio professionals and installation experts will help you get the best sound out of your system that you can.

Saturn - That Was Then, This Is Now

Step back in time with me if you would, about 20 years to be precise, to an era when automaker General Motors was busy making plans for their all new company, Saturn. This wasn't to be just another GM division mind you as Saturn was created as a separate import fighting company meant to take on the likes of Toyota and Honda. By 1990, the first Saturn cars rolled off a bucolic Tennessee countryside assembly line signaling a new cooperation between workers and management. Immediately, the funky little "S Series" of sedans, wagons, and coupes were a hit and GM was soon lauded for taking a bold initiative.

Today, Saturn is much different from the brand that took on Japan's top automakers. Instead of being a separate, wholly owned car company the make is now one of General Motors' many automotive divisions. The S Series sold well and the introduction of subsequent models helped the brand, but ultimately parent GM decided to pull the company within the General's fold as it chose to close down Oldsmobile instead. Current models being sold by Saturn are much different from what was originally offered, but the company has managed to keep one huge attribute that originally propelled the brand forward: people are first. Let's take a look at Saturn's current line up and the vehicles soon to be introduced.

ION - After a decade of service, the S Series was retired in favor of the comparably sized ION. Unlike the S Series, the ION does not include a wagon, but it does include a four door coupe and sedan. Unfortunately, the car is not very competitive with similar models and GM is looking at an Opel-inspired car to take its place by the end of this decade.

VUE - A recent makeover has kept the VUE, Saturn's small SUV, competitive. In addition, a pending hybrid model is expected to strengthen the line and talk of an all new compact model showing up in 2009 has the auto world abuzz.

RELAY - Saturn's first minivan is a clone to models sold by Chevrolet and Buick. Unlike earlier Saturn models which featured polymer side impact panels [to limit dents], the RELAY is all sheet metal and simply a copy of other divisions' vehicles. Still, the RELAY has filled an important hole in the Saturn line up by offering a larger vehicle for loyal Saturn owners.

SKY - Forget what you might have thought about Saturn previously. The SKY roadster is a hit for one big reason: it is absolutely sexy. Sharing components with the Pontiac Solstice, the SKY has radically transformed the brand's image all by itself. Priced under $25,000, the SKY is competitive with the Mazda Miata and is a low cost alternative to the BMW Z4.

AURA - Another vehicle built to battle the division's bland image, the AURA steps in to the midsize category replacing the L Series which was discontinued two years earlier. Based on GM's Epsilon platform, the AURA borrows heavily from GM's German division -- Opel - while incorporating a style and design that favors the Saturn SKY.

OUTLOOK - To be introduced before the end of 2006, the OUTLOOK will be Saturn's first bigger SUV. Although considered to be a "crossover" by many, the OUTLOOK is a 7 passenger SUV meant to complement the smaller VUE. With the addition of the OUTLOOK in the Saturn fold, GM will take a break before tinkering with the Saturn line up.

Truly, Saturn of 2007 will look much different from Saturn of the 1990s. For years, Saturn dealers were content to sell only one model - the S Series - but today's Saturn is going well beyond all of that. With a hybrid VUE in the line up and other variations of existing models also being planned, the once spartan Saturn line up is nearly filled to capacity. This is great news for Saturn loyalists looking for choices beyond the base models and a promise that GM is investing money in its import fighting division.

Financial Pipeline Or Hauling Buckets?

Are you building a pipeline or hauling buckets?

There is a great story in Robert Kiyosaki's "Cashflow Quadrant" (a must read book in or out of acting school or art class) that goes like this:

A village in Africa needed water, so they gave 2 people, Bill and Ed, the contract to supply it, reasoning that the competition would keep prices reasonable and the service good. Bill immediately ran out, bought to buckets, and started making the trek to and from the lake, which was a mile away. He started making money immediately, which was great, especially as Ed disappeared from the village. The downside was that he had to get up before everybody else to make sure that the village had the water, and his work was very tiring, as he spent his whole day carrying buckets of water.

Several months later, Ed returned with a construction crew, and built a stainless steel pipe from the lake to the village. Once it was ready, he announced that he would charge 75% less for his water than Bill, that his water would be cleaner than Bill's, because it would be covered the whole way, and that it would run 24/7, unlike Bill's, because Bill didn't work on weekends.

When Bill saw everybody run to the new faucet at the end of Ed's pipeline, he dropped his prices by 75%, bought covers for his buckets, and employed his sons to work night and weekend shifts. Once his sons had left for college (and inexplicably never returned), he had to hire more workers to cover their costs, and spent his days dealing with accounting and labor issues.

Ed saw the success of his pipeline in this village, and went on to build them in several other villages as well, earning only pennies on every bucket delivered, but delivering millions of buckets a day. He oversees his business from a beach in Hawaii, as the water flows whether he is working or not. The End.

The moral of the story is obvious: don't spend your days working for money when you could be designing systems to have money flowing to, and working for, you.

The problem, of course, is that we all need money now. We need to pay the rent, put food on the table, and gas in the car. It takes time to develop financial plans, find investors, and put a deal together. So what are we supposed to do if we don't have the capital to live off while we create and build this business, whatever it may be?

The answer is that we have to be building the pipeline while hauling buckets, as hard as that may be. What that translates to is building some kind of business (outside of our acting career, for example) that will eventually support us in our artistic endeavors, while working the jobs that many of us pursue to survive. Yes, this means that you will be working a little bit harder now, but one of the secrets of wealthy people is that they do work now that will pay them next month and next year, as opposed to only next week.

So what to do? The place to start is financial education. Learn about businesses, about investing, about tax structure and so on. Take the time to plan your financial progress, instead of being driven by it. Dedicate a few hours a week to this process, and then, once you have made a decision as to what you are going to pursue, focus that same time on that. By doing this you will ensure that you will have, in the longer run, the time and energy to truly pursue the things that matter most. If you choose not to do it, chances are that, in fifteen, twenty, twenty-five years, you will still be hauling the same buckets you are today.

Insurance: Love It or Hate It, You Have to Have It!

You have done it! You have cleaned up your finances, figured out what’s what, built up a wealth account, and you have even begun investing. There is no more debt, your time is freed up, and you have a nice little nest egg. Then it happens – WHAM!!! You are involved in a major car accident and are seriously injured. Or maybe you are diagnosed with a serious illness. Either way, not only can you not work for a while, but you have heaps of medical bills. Are you prepared? If not, then all the hard work you have done to get yourself on stable financial ground and begin building wealth, is gone. If you can’t pay those bills and you are sued, then faster than you can blink your assets will be sucked up to pay what you owe.

How would you feel if this happened to you? Really use your imagination and try to place yourself there. What is it worth to you to ensure that this never happens? What would you do to protect yourself?

What is protection? INSURANCE! Yes, it is easy to say, “I don’t really need it right now,” or, “I can’t really afford it yet. I’ll wait until I’m making more money.” No matter how tight money is, it will be far worse if anything happens to you and you are uninsured. Just remember – you DO need it. The premium (charge you pay on a monthly/yearly basis) for insurance will protect you and family from financial loss in the event of accident, illness, fire, flood, or any other type of natural disaster.

Insurance is unavoidable if you own a car and/or a house. To qualify for a mortgage, you will be required to have home insurance because the bank wants to protect their investment. Just be sure to research insurance companies or make use of an insurance broker (you don’t pay for their services, the insurance companies do) and make sure you have appropriate coverage. You don’t want it to be too high and you don’t want it to be too low. It should be based on the estimated rebuilding costs of your house, not on current market value. With car insurance, you will most likely have to show proof of some basic coverage to register the vehicle. Make sure you are comfortably covered in case of an accident and also for when you rent a car so you don’t need to pay extra premiums.

It is also crucial that you have health insurance. Since the majority of artists do not have coverage from a regular employer, they need to purchase individual coverage. You can choose between fee-for-service insurance – allows you to choose any physician although it is generally extremely expensive, or managed care – lower costs but limited choices with regards to doctors and hospitals to which you have access. It is also recommended that you obtain a policy that:

• will cover a major medical problem

• will handle at least 80% of your costs after the deductible

• is guaranteed renewable (they can’t drop you or hike your premium cost if you get sick)

• has a maximum lifetime benefit of at least $1 million

• doesn’t have large numbers of limits and exclusions

Recognize that insurance companies can be sneaky – read policies carefully.

Other types of insurance include renter’s insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance. Renter’s insurance is important because your possessions are not covered under the homeowner’s policy of the person from whom you are renting. It also protects you from liability, either in you own home or elsewhere. Life insurance is something you need only if you have dependents. Don’t let someone sell it to you otherwise. Disability insurance is important to have in place if you have a regularly paying job in the event that you become sick or injured and cannot work for a period of time.

Things to consider when shopping for insurance include:

1. How high a deductible you want to select. Higher deductibles will result in lower premium costs. Just make sure you can actually afford to cover the deductible. If you visit the doctor regularly for example, having a high deductible might not make sense.

2. Get quotes from several insurance agents. Don’t be pressured into buying just because you have been given a quote. Talk to both independent agents (they can sell policies from different insurance companies) and captive agents (they represent one company). Getting referrals from friends and family members who are happy with their service and rates is a good way to shop. Then you know your insurance provider is tried and true.

3. Explore companies that will sell a policy directly to you. This may be cheaper since they avoid paying agents’ salaries.

4. The Consumer Reports Buying Guide can be an excellent resource for narrowing down your top choices.

5. If you are considering a lesser known company because of good rates, make sure you check them out carefully. Investigate qualifications, check with state insurance department, and research the company’s financial stability. You don’t want to be paying premiums for months or even years, only to discover that the company has gone out of business and will not pay your claim.

It all comes down to protection and the feeling of security that goes along with it. If you do not have insurance, you may be putting your whole future on the line. No one wants life’s difficulties to pop up, but we can’t avoid them forever and if they are big, then you could be financially ruined. And who wants the financial stress added to an already stressful situation of illness, injury, or losing your house or possessions? Again, really take the time to imagine how you would FEEL if any of this happened to you and you weren’t ready. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to be prepared. Don’t let all your hard work go to waste. Get insurance and have peace of mind.
